Buddhika Nakandala is a printmaker from Kalutara, who uses found objects with an imbued history in his art. In 2016, he built the only privately owned print machine in Sri Lanka and started The Printmaking Lab (TPL), a space for local and international artists to work in, and where workshops can be held.

Buddhika’s work is heavily influenced by the war he experienced while living in the border village where he was born. Through his work, he tries to bring out the memories of war, and how society deals with the history of the war, even today.
